Cydia iOS 11.1.2

Ian Beer’s recently-publicized tfp0 exploit seems to be assisting eager jailbreak developers in their ongoing quest to create a working jailbreak tool for iOS 11.0-11.1.2.

Twitter user cheesecakeufo shared the photo above on Twitter this week, showcasing what appears to be Cydia running on a jailbroken iPhone X with iOS 11.1.2 installed on it. While it looks promising at first glance, there’s purportedly still a truckload of work to be done.

Cheesecakeufo cites Ian Beer’s exploit as a big help in making this feat possible, but some caveats remain. For one, it’ll take some fine-tuning and testing to ensure stability. Furthermore, Cydia isn’t quite ready for iOS 11 just yet, and its functions remain limited until Saurik updates the app for Apple’s latest operating system.

While it seems like there might be a long wait ahead of us, a Reddit comment by the father of Cydia himself reveals that he’s actively working on iOS 11 support for the app as we speak:

The comment also underscores how Saurik balances his Cydia work with a day job, so we shouldn’t expect an update overnight. Nevertheless, it’s still thrilling to hear how the primary source for add-ons and tweaks on jailbroken devices will soon receive an update despite everything that has gone down in recent weeks.

Given the circumstances, it looks increasingly likely that we’ll get to see yet another season of jailbreaking. On the other hand, there’s still no ETA for when an official iOS 11 jailbreak might drop. Everyone will just have to hang tight and continue crossing their fingers; as always, we’ll keep you in the loop as things change.

NOTE: You can support Saurik and his work on Cydia by donating to him from his official web page.

I’m kicking myself for not saving my SHSH

    My X came with 11.1.2

    • David Gow

I’m also on 11.1.2 we should be good from what I’ve read

      • Rodney Coleman

But I’m on 11.2.5. Maybe I should try to downgrade.

      • Daniel Moura

You can’t now. Window closed to downgrade

      • Rodney Coleman

Not a big deal guys. I knew that before upgrading. But I figured they wouldn’t jailbreak like usual. Then I always stay beta.

      • Kimleang

downgrade is impossible now as apple stop signing.

      • Vinnie Bones

Bro, you ain’t going nowhere. You can’t downgrade.

    • Vinnie Bones

      Jason Vorhees got you bro
      *sh sh ha ha*

      • Rodney Coleman

        No lie bro

  • ravinigga

There is hope because there is already exploit for 11.2.1

  • M_Hawke

I’m on 10.2.1. I can upgrade to 11.1.2, right? How’s 11 working on a 7 plus, same or slower, anyone?

    • No you cannot. Apple is not signing 11.1.2 anymore.

      • M_Hawke

        Thanks, Anthony.

    • Vinnie Bones

      That’s an upgrade, that’s a downgrade.

Pls can the jailbreak work on iOS 11.1?

  • Shakur Ali

Hi I’m on 11.1 on my iPhone X will there be a jailbreak for that let us know plz

    • Ian Beer’s exploit supports your firmware. But there’s no telling if a jailbreak will until it’s out.

  • Fernando Leite

    And iphone 8 and iphone8 plus ????

  • I saved SHSH blobs for 11.1.2, However, I did not update to it. Is there’s anyway where I can update using them?

    P.S.: I’m using an iPhone 6S

  • Joel Mujica

Hi. Someone knows about a semi-restore for iOS 10.3.2? or a similary tool?

  • Zeeshan Mehboob

    i am in 11.2.1

  • Nino 0raham

we should all donate to @Saurik

  • Eyelow

Am I the only one whose iPhone X was delivered with iOS 11.0.1?

It’s extremely fast on my iPhone X and I have had bad experience with upgrading – it’s like the first ever iOS version for a new flagship iPhone is the best and all the others will not be perfectly tweaked for the best possible performance. And no, I always do a fresh update and do not use backups!

  • Backwardatom

I think jail breaking is the best way for optimising you’re iOS as I’ve been a fan since it started I’ve installed Cydias latest and waiting for Saurik to update it he does a great job thanks to all developers for this as well good job been lost without Cydia ??
